‘Tis the season to deliver lots and lots of packages purchased from our favorite online retailers, and RouteSmart is here to help.
Again this year, we’re tracking and analyzing the deliveries made by our clients who are some of the brightest stars in the last-mile delivery business. RouteSmart’s delivery partners include FedEx Ground, the U.S. Postal Service, OnTrac., and Postmedia in North America, and many other leading organizations around the world.
TWENTY-FOUR DAYS, 2.8 MILLION ROUTES, 262 MILLION DELIVERIES.
RouteSmart will help plan and optimize more than 2.8 million last-mile delivery routes between Dec. 1 and Dec. 24, 2022. That means we’ll be optimizing 1.3 routes per second, every second of every hour of every day for our partners in the local delivery sector.
More than 11 million deliveries each day are being made based on optimal delivery planning algorithms that we’ve refined and perfected for more than 30 years. For those counting, that’s an average of 126 deliveries every second, day and night during peak delivery season.
BREATHE EASIER AND IMPROVE DELIVERY EFFICIENCY
When it comes to savings, RouteSmart will help its clients design more efficient routes and reduce total distance driven by more than 630,000 miles every day. Tallied up, that’s a savings of 15 million miles during the period.
RouteSmart is helping our global partners go greener and meet tougher environmental standards. This month, we will help our clients reduce carbon emissions by more than 2.6 million pounds of CO2.
