About Routesmart
The City of Richardson, Texas used RouteSmart to create more efficient routes for their Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) program and saved significant investments in man-hours and vehicle costs.
the challenge
The BABIC program for the City of Richardson, Texas was burning needless man hours and gas and putting excessive wear and tear on city vehicles because their BABIC routes were not optimized.
the solution

Their GIS department worked closely with RouteSmart to build an automated routing system based on RouteSmart’s Macro Language that fed their address database information into RouteSmart. Once these addresses were in the system, RouteSmart could then re-route and automate their BABIC routes.
