Our user conference, INTERSECT, returns to Annapolis from September 25 – 28, 2023 – so it’s time to clear your calendars and save the date. This follows our productive 2022 conference in Orlando, Fla. and we look to build on that success.

Our user conference, INTERSECT, returns to Annapolis from September 25 – 28, 2023, so it’s time to clear your calendars and save the date. This follows our productive 2022 conference in Orlando, Fla., and we look to build on that success.

“There’s no substitute for in-person events,” RouteSmart Vice President Chris Walz said. “We’ve got some unbelievable clients. When you mesh the different industries together, there are just combinations of ideas that you can’t generate on your own.”

The event will be held at the Graduate Hotel in the city’s downtown section. This eclectic hotel features art and references to U.S. Naval Academy graduates, including a life-sized cut-out of NBA Hall-of-Famer David Robinson (class of ’87), and keycards with headshots of alumni the likes of President Jimmy Carter, Admiral William Leahy, Sportscaster Lee Corso, and Target founder John Geisse. In addition, the hotel is a 10-minute drive from the U.S. Naval Academy and Annapolis Civil Rights Plaque.

The conference will kick off with pre-conference training and workspace workshops on September 25 – 26. Attendees will also have the option to participate in a golf outing or a Naval Academy tour.

“It’s been tremendous,” remarked City of Franklin, Tenn. IT Technical Support Specialist Clinton O’Brien at the 2022 conference. “We learned a lot of new things that we didn’t do that we can do now.”

The event brings together clients from the four main industries we serve: newspaper, postal/parcel, public works, and utilities, along with our staff and partners from all over the world, as far as Australia.

The main conference sessions will run from September 27 – 28, and while details on presenters and speakers are still getting worked out, we are confident that you will find them informative, helpful, and engaging.

A client appreciation dinner will be held on September 27 at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, featuring live entertainment and gorgeous views overlooking the largest estuary in the United States.  

The networking between clients, staff, and partners is what makes INTERSECT so valuable for attendees.

“One of the things that’s true of all our conferences is the interaction of clients to clients,” RouteSmart Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President Larry Levy said. “Getting to see each other, share their stories, and exchange their ideas of how they’re using RouteSmart.” You can expect a registration link to be available in the first couple of months of 2023.
